Privacy and Cookie Notice
This notice explains how Montiago Digital handles personal information submitted through this website, and how optional Google Analytics cookies are controlled by consent.
Who we are
Montiago Digital is a digital services business offering website development, e-commerce work, AI automation, workflow automation, and related digital services.
For privacy questions, contact us at inquiry@montiago.digital.
Information we collect
We collect information that you choose to provide, including your name, email address, company name, project goal, budget range, and message when you submit the contact form or email us.
We also process limited technical information needed to operate the website, such as request logs handled by hosting infrastructure, security checks, and consent choices stored in your browser.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry.
- To assess whether we can help with your project.
- To communicate with you about potential services, proposals, or next steps.
- To maintain basic business records of enquiries and client communications.
- To protect the website from spam, misuse, and automated submissions.
- To improve the website using optional analytics, but only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
Legal basis for processing
- Enquiries and proposals: processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Business administration: we have a legitimate interest in keeping proportionate records of enquiries, proposals, and communications.
- Security and spam prevention: we have a legitimate interest in protecting the website and contact form.
- Google Analytics cookies: we rely on your consent. Analytics does not load unless you accept analytics cookies through the cookie banner.
Contact form and email provider
The contact form sends enquiry details to Montiago Digital by email. We use service providers where necessary to run the website, verify spam protection, and deliver email. These providers only receive the information needed to provide their service.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors move through the site. Google Analytics is optional on this website and only loads after you accept analytics cookies.
Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. It may use IP address information at collection time to derive coarse location data before discarding the IP address.
We do not intentionally send personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or message contents to Google Analytics.
Cookies and local storage
Essential functionality may use browser storage so the website can remember your cookie choice. Optional analytics cookies are only used if you accept them.

How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the enquiry, maintain relevant business records, and meet legal, accounting, or administrative requirements.
Google Analytics data retention is controlled in the Google Analytics property settings. Standard GA4 properties allow user-level and event-level retention settings such as 2 months or 14 months for many reports and explorations.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers involved in website hosting, form security, email delivery, analytics, or business operations where necessary to run the website and respond to enquiries.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate contractual or legal safeguards used by those providers.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, ask for corrections, request deletion, object to certain processing, ask for restriction of processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To make a request, email inquiry@montiago.digital.
Complaints
If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how your personal information is handled, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
